Carthage, Missouri is known for its historic downtown. The grand buildings on the historic square make for an amazing backdrops for family pictures. The funny thing is this brick wall is on a side that probably no one notices. It is a little off the actual square but it says so much to me with its worn brick and the contrast of the concrete and old paint flaking off. I love how this family chose great colors that go together and look very “fall”! Their clothing choice worked so well with the wall and as you will see later the fall leaves!
I love to make sure that we get brother and sister together, daughter with mom, son with mom, dad with daughter and dad with son. These special bonds are to be celebrated and captured and enjoyed! This family was just so fun that is was so easy to capture all the fun!
It is also important to get a picture of mom and dad! We need to know that we are awesome and we are awesome together. And if I can get mom and dad to kiss, even better!
Funny thing… Right before these pictures… we got photobombed by a skunk! Yes you heard me right… a skunk in the middle of downtown. He walked right up to dad. I’m so glad dad saw him and kinda moved quickly and we all walked away! Just so you know, no humans were sprayed during this photoshoot and no skunks were harmed! ha! But I am sad that I jumped off my stepstool and ran before I snapped a picture!!
In Carthage, Missouri we have a short window for fall leaves. This year was a really warm early fall so the leaves turned about two weeks later than they normally do. This family’s photoshoot was scheduled at the beginning of November and oh can I tell you it was perfection! The leaves were amazing and did not last one more weekend. So it was perfect timing!!
The following image was chosen to be printed on a metal and can I tell you, it’s just amazing!!! The leaves, the color and the amazing looking family, just jumps off the metal! It is amazing and I’m so glad the family gets to hang it in their home and enjoy it Every. Single. Day!
