let the adventure begin | newborn boy pictures

This little man melted me as soon as I saw him.  He and his adorable parents are just so sweet!  Mom contacted me before he was born to set up his newborn portraits.  I was thrilled to find out that his little bedroom was an adventure theme.  I loved incorporating adventure into his newborn session.   First, we did mom & dad pictures with baby in my studio in Carthage, Missouri.  This little family of three from Joplin, Missouri is just so sweet.  I love capturing the sweet snuggles with mom and dad.  There is nothing more precious!

Then this is the most precious picture ever!  Mom and her sweet baby boy!  He will never be this little again so I love capturing this priceless moment.

Then we got dad in the picture.  I love how small a little baby looks in dad’s hands.  It is just such a special bond between dad and his little man.

One of my favorite images to capture is dad holding baby in his hands.  Even though there is no faces in this picture it communicate how this little boy will depend on his dad.

Then I move into the posed part of the session.   This sweet baby boy was a dream for all of his pictures!   The gray background is a soft neutral that corresponds with the white and gray hat and little shorts.

Since this little man’s room was an adventure theme, I had mom bring in his black and red plaid blanket along with the arrows that are decorations in his room.  We used my wooden bowl and bump blankets to make for the ultimate set up.  I was so excited to see him smirk.  Definitely a favorite with mom and dad.

And then he smiled!  Oh these are the ultimate portraits that mom and dad just adore!  We printed this portrait on metal!  I cannot even describe how stunning it looks!!  It will be a forever cherished portrait in their home.

These are all the looks that were chosen at this session.  Families are given 3 times this to choose from during their preview session.

Let him sleep, for when he wakes he will move mountains!
