Oh the simplest colors can be so beautiful on a baby boy during his newborn photography session. Natural colors are soothing and just allow the baby to be the highlight of the portraits. I enjoy capturing the newness of a newborn. I say it over and over that they are never this new ever again. Tiny fingers and toes plus their little noses are oh so precious and I love that I can capture these details for mom and dad to cherish forever.
Then it was big brother’s turn to get in the picture! I am so honored when clients come back again for their precious portraits. I had the wonderful opportunity to take big brother’s pictures when he was a newborn. Sibling portraits are such a fun time and are always oh so cute!
Family portraits are a must during newborn sessions. Love the time to capture the smiles and love that they share toward this new addition to their little family! Plus, mom and dad get their own special time with their newest little man. Snuggles are the perfect thing to capture.
I love to wrap baby up toward the end of the photo session. Babies absolutely love this time. While all snuggled in, I can change out props and allow us to complete their gallery. Mom and dad pick their favorite portraits during my preview session a week or so after their newborn session. Then I will compile those favorites into a heirloom baby album which becomes a beautiful keepsake! By keeping the color palette similar, the colors coordinate and flow. I love how this sweet guy gave me a lot of different sweet faces. Mom and dad always seem to enjoy these as well!
I love to incorporate special items that mean something to the family. Grandma made this elephant blanket and we used it in big brother’s newborn session as well. So it was a special touch to add it in to little brother’s pictures.
