There is just nothing sweeter than a newborn baby! I love my job that I get the special privilege of going to the hospital when a baby is just so fresh and capturing the precious moments that hold a special spot in a mom and dad’s heart! These moments were captured on a sweet Saturday afternoon when baby was about 36 short hours old.
Being all wrapped up in the bassinet or being cuddled by dad or mom are just so beautiful. I even love the cries of such a new little person. Something beautiful about that too. This little guy loved to be swaddled so when dad unwrapped him so we could get diaper pictures, it made him kinda of mad.
This provided an awesome moment for me to switch my camera over to HD video so I could capture his dad singing in a low, low voice “Swing Low Sweet Chariot”. Hearing his dad’s voice calmed baby right down. Seeing the bond that was already created between dad and baby was about a heart tugging as it could be.
One of my absolute favorite shots is to have dad hold baby’s head in his hands. With daddy’s hands so big and baby’s head so small, I guess it represents how God holds us in His hands which is something I cherish everyday!
Since this dad is a fabulous jeweler in Carthage, Missouri and owns GM Jewelry on the Carthage Square, he designed and made a stunning ring for his wife! Momma was a complete rock star in labor! She is an amazing mom already and I know that she well deserves such a gift.
There is a bond between mom and baby that is so precious! All that work and pain for a chance to kiss his sweet head.
